This actually happened to us. Really. But the police wouldn’t help us, so we had to resort to walking along backwards with the map upside down* to throw it off our trail.
No wonder we got hopelessly lost.

I’ve been reading the superb “Dry Store Room No. 1: The Secret Life of the Natural History Museum” by Richard Fortey. Anyone interested in life on our planet should find this book amusing and astonishing.

I’ve only just noticed that the “Animal Hair Cutting Salon” I thought I’d seen hereabouts is actually the “Akmal Hair Cutting Salon” but written in a squiggly font. Quite sad really.
This sort of thing is always happening to me.
