This is just about the longest I’ve ever spent on a single drawing, over a few days while sitting in the hospital waiting for Karen’s op and then waiting for her to be discharged. I started without a plan, just drew an onion with eyes. Everything else seemed to have eyes too, and a sea theme emerged. I hope it amuses someone!

a multitude of strange sea-creatures, with many strange human-like eyes (and some human limbs) float about around an apparently man-made tunnel-like structure, also with eyes.
“…In an octopus’s garden/Under the sea…”
in an octopus’ garden in the shade…I remember now – we watched an amazing documentary about filming the first moving images of a giant squid … the are incredible creatures, and their eyes are the largest of any (known 🙂 ) animal.
Hope the surgery went all right. My wife goes for Cataract replacement next week.
Your drawing style has improved greatly over the years. Keep up the good work! Miss the comic strip, though.
