(Please give me a rating!)This is the comic I made on Wednesday evening at Adam Murphy’s excellent comic class. The title was picked at almost-random by Adam from a novel, and then we had a strictly limited time to conceive and draw a comic. We did a few in this way, with time limits ranging from leisurely 20 minutes down to frantic 2 minutes.
The comic above is my final effort of the evening, clocking in at 15 minutes, and goes to show just what you can do given a big fat pen, limited drawing skills, a puerile sense of humour and no shame. I think Terry Gilliam may have done this one before.

(2 votes, average: 5.00 out of 5)Small Print: this story is based on “The Wild Bride” which we went to see performed by Knee High at the Oxford Playhouse on Saturday night.
A poor farmer traded with the devil — a new suit of clothes in exchange for the contents of his apple tree. To his horror he discovered in the tree his beautiful but under-age daughter… which is when he called ‘You and Yours‘ for advice. We say, in contracts of this kind with diabolical forces there is no automatic 7 day cooling off period. So in future we recommend a more careful approach — remember the devil is in the details. Meanwhile Sue has been studying High Street Banking interest rates… Sue?

I still can’t decide whether the unfortunate Invisibulean not quite appearing in today’s strip is wearing spectacles or not.
